CITIC Securities Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “CITIC Securities” or the “Company”) is committed to selecting suppliers of integrity who are trustworthy and law-abiding. The Company gives preference to suppliers who can implement socially and environmentally sustainable policies in their business.
The Suppliers Code of Conduct applies to CITIC Securities and all its subsidiaries. The Company requires all of our suppliers (legal persons, natural persons or other organizations providing materials, equipment, engineering and services to CITIC Securities or its subsidiaries) to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, industry-wide ethical standards when providing services and fulfilling contractual obligations, or when providing services and fulfilling contractual obligations on behalf of CITIC Securities to our customers or other third parties.
I. Compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Suppliers must strictly comply with all applicable laws and regulations, industry norms, professional ethics and codes of conduct when conducting business, and establish corresponding internal systems and guidelines.
II. Protection the environment
i. Suppliers shall comply with the applicable environmental laws and regulations of the country in which it is located and shall actively obtain certification of its environmental management system.
ii. Suppliers shall continuously strive to improve environmental performance, including but not limited to improvements and improvements in energy conservation, emission reduction, resource consumption, etc., and disclose relevant measures and results.
iii. Suppliers shall reasonably dispose of and store hazardous materials and waste and dispose of them safely and legally.
III. No child labor
Suppliers shall not hire laborers under the legal working age.
IV. Freedom of Employment
i. Suppliers shall employ their employees on a voluntary basis and shall not engage in physical injury or any other form of compulsory labor.
ii. Suppliers shall not detain employees or restrict their freedom of movement.
V. Pay and working hours
i. Suppliers shall sign labor contracts with all employees in accordance with local laws and regulations.
ii. Suppliers must comply with the applicable local statutory minimum wage levels.
iii. Suppliers shall pay their salaries on time and shall not withhold wages, bonuses or benefits.
iv. Suppliers shall pay overtime compensation in accordance with laws and regulations.
VI. Health and safety
i. Suppliers shall comply with all applicable laws relating to wellness and safety in the workplace.
ii. Suppliers shall provide training to employees on site safety and related practices to protect workers’ health and safety and those of others.
VII. Non discrimination
i. The hiring of employees shall be based on the candidate’s compliance with the job requirements as the primary determining factor.
ii. Suppliers shall ensure that no discrimination in the workplace in terms of race, age, gender, class, political affiliation, religion, marital status, disability, pregnancies and any other biases.
VIII. Preventing bribery and corruption
Suppliers shall conduct their business with integrity and shall establish policies, codes of conduct and procedures to prevent any form of bribery, corruption and fraud and ensure strict compliance.
In order to ensure that our suppliers always comply with laws, ethics and our anti-corruption requirements, the Company has the right to conduct appropriate due diligence and implement corresponding control procedures for supplier, and supplier shall provide true, complete, legal and effective information, and shall not conceal any information that may have an adverse impact on the legitimate interests of the Company.
